The Eight Foot Diameter Garden Aviary with the Single Safety Catch is best used for flighted birds where escape is a concern. The Safety Catch bolts directly up to the door panel of the Garden Aviary.

The Eight Foot Diameter Outdoor Aviary is perhaps our greatest value in an aviary. Spanning some eight feet and towering almost eight feet tall, it delivers a majestic garden furniture appeal and with plenty of cubic feet for your feathered friends. It will accommodate four or five large birds and eight to ten medium size birds. Want to house a colony of cockatiels, love birds, budgies, or parakeets? This is a great cage to do that in. It will comfortably accommodate up to 50 small birds.

You will need 73 one foot by one foot concrete pavers from your local home improvement store to make a base for this unit. Please take your time and make sure you lay them down level before you assemble the aviary. Existing concrete slabs or wood decks also make great bases. If you are pouring your own slab you will need a circular slab measuring 8 ft. 4 in. in diameter or a square slab measuring 8 ft. 2 in. on all sides. An additional area measuring 32 in. X 42 in. will be needed to accommodate the Single Safety Catch. Simply hose it off every day or two and presto; the clean up is done!

Safety Catches:  It is highly recommended that you order a Suncatcher safety catch at the same time you order a Suncatcher cage if a safety catch is desired.  Shipping and handling is free for safety catches if ordered with a Suncatcher cage.  If a safety catch is ordered later, additional freight charges apply and tend to be in the $200-300 range.
